svarṇādistaṃ bhanaṃ śatrornṛpādīnāṃ krudho'pi ca | ājyāktaiḥ karavīrotthaiḥ prasūnairaruṇairhutaiḥ || 101 ||
Narada (instructional discourse within the Vedanga/ritual-technical section)
Vrata: none
Primary Rasa: vira
Secondary Rasa: shanta
It teaches a śānti-oriented homa: a disciplined fire-offering meant to neutralize hostility and calm the disruptive force of anger in social and political conflict.
Though technical, it implies that outer rites become spiritually effective when performed as an offering (huta) with purity and surrender—an attitude that supports bhakti through reverent action.
It highlights applied ritual science—selection of specific materials (karavīra red flowers, ghee) and their use in homa as a remedial/appeasement rite, aligning with the technical orientation of Book 1.3.
