The Exposition of the Krishna Mantra (Kṛṣṇa-mantra-prakāśa): Nyāsa, Dhyāna, Worship, Yantra, and Prayoga
Sanatkumara (in dialogue with Narada)
Vrata: none
Primary Rasa: shanta
Secondary Rasa: bhakti
It presents a dharmic fruit: a person who lives in a way that benefits society gains divine favor, and that inner merit manifests as wisdom, long life, prosperity, and a flourishing lineage.
Though not explicitly naming a deity, it reflects a bhakti-aligned principle: divine beings honor the one whose life is sattvic and beneficial—conduct that is typically sustained by devotion, gratitude, and reverence for dharma.
The verse emphasizes results associated with dharmic discipline; in Book 1.3’s Vedanga context, it aligns with correct observance of ritual and conduct supported by śikṣā and vyākaraṇa (proper recitation and formulation), which are traditionally said to yield puṇya and social esteem.
