Hanumān-mantra-kathana: Mantra-bheda, Nyāsa, Yantra, and Prayoga
baṃdhamokṣaṃ kuruyugaṃ svāhāṃto'yaṃ manurmataḥ | īśvaro'sya muniśchando'nuṣṭupca devatā punaḥ || 167 ||
Sanatkumara (teaching Narada the mantra’s lakṣaṇa/viniyoga)
Vrata: none
Primary Rasa: shanta
Secondary Rasa: none
It gives the mantra’s formal Vedic identification—its wording, ending, seer, metre, and deity—so it can be applied correctly for aims connected with bondage (bandha) and liberation (mokṣa).
By assigning Īśvara as both ṛṣi and devatā, the verse places the mantra’s efficacy in God-centered orientation—recitation is framed as directed to the Lord, aligning practice with devotion and surrender.
Mantra-viniyoga fundamentals: identifying ṛṣi, chandas (Anuṣṭubh), and devatā, and noting the “svāhā” ending used for ritualized mantra application.
