Saṅdhyā-ādi Nitya-karma-Vidhi
विष्णुपत्नि नमस्तुभ्यं पादस्पर्शं क्षमस्व मे । इति भूमिं तु सम्प्रार्थ्य विहरेच्च यथाविधि ॥ २ ॥
viṣṇupatni namastubhyaṃ pādasparśaṃ kṣamasva me | iti bhūmiṃ tu samprārthya viharecca yathāvidhi || 2 ||
« Ô Terre, épouse de Viṣṇu, salutations à toi. Pardonne le contact de mes pieds. » Ainsi, après avoir imploré le sol avec respect, qu’on se mette en mouvement selon la règle prescrite.
Narada (in instruction on proper conduct/ritual decorum, within the Narada–Sanatkumara dialogue frame)
Vrata: none
Primary Rasa: bhakti
Secondary Rasa: shanta
It teaches humility and sacred awareness: even ordinary acts like walking are sanctified when one honors Bhūmi as Viṣṇu’s consort and seeks forgiveness for inadvertent harm or impurity.
Bhakti is shown as reverent conduct (ācāra): offering salutations and asking pardon before acting turns daily movement into service and remembrance of Viṣṇu through His śakti as Earth.
It emphasizes procedural correctness (yathāvidhi) and ritual decorum—an applied discipline aligned with Kalpa-style injunctions about proper conduct, especially when moving in sacred or ritually mindful contexts.
