Le cœur joyeux, il saisit avec respect les pieds de son père ; puis, d’esprit noble, il rapporta à son père tout en détail.
Narrator (Suta) describing the episode within Narada Purana’s Moksha-dharma narrative
Vrata: none
Primary Rasa: bhakti (devotion)
Secondary Rasa: shanta (peace)
It highlights dharmic humility: honoring one’s father through pranāma (taking the feet) and truthful disclosure, which purifies the mind and supports progress in Moksha-dharma.
Bhakti is grounded in surrender and reverence; the act of respectfully bowing and openly offering one’s account reflects the inner attitude of devotion—submission of ego and honesty before a revered authority.
While not a technical Vedanga passage, it reflects smārta-sadācāra (conduct) aligned with Dharma-śāstra practice—proper behavior toward elders, which supports ritual and spiritual discipline.
