FAQs

It frames Jyotiṣa as a dharma-linked diagnostic tool: severe afflictions (malefic hemming/combustion) are presented as karmic indicators of life-threatening outcomes, urging heightened vigilance and dhārmic conduct.

While technical in tone, it indirectly supports bhakti by warning of fragile conditions of life; awareness of mortality (mṛtyu) becomes a prompt to take refuge in dharma and sustained devotion rather than complacency.

Vedāṅga Jyotiṣa: assessment of graha-doṣa through aspects, inimical signs, trine-based afflictions, lagna placement, and the Moon’s asta (setting/combustion/obscuration) as indicators of severe risk.
