Daśamī-vrata: Observances for the Bright Tenth Day Through the Twelve Months
Sanatkumara (in instruction to Narada, within the Narada Purana dialogue frame)
Vrata: none
Primary Rasa: shanta
Secondary Rasa: bhakti
It teaches ritual completeness and protection: offerings to the ten directions harmonize the space, and the Kṣetrapāla offering safeguards the kṣetra so the rite proceeds without obstacles.
Bhakti here is expressed as mindful, orderly service—performing offerings with samāhita (collected attention) and honoring the divine guardians connected with sacred worship.
It reflects ritual discipline tied to directional placement (dik-bandhana) and procedural correctness—core practical knowledge of kalpa-style ritual method (proper sequencing and placement of offerings).
