व्यपोहनस्तवनिरूपण-प्रसङ्गे नक्तभोजन-शिवव्रतविधिः (वार्षिक-प्रतिमास-क्रमः)
सत्यवादी जितक्रोधः शालिगोधूमगोरसैः पक्षयोरष्टमीं यत्नाद् उपवासेन वर्तयेत्
satyavādī jitakrodhaḥ śāligodhūmagorasaiḥ pakṣayoraṣṭamīṃ yatnād upavāsena vartayet
Que le dévot—véridique et maître de sa colère—observe avec soin l’Aṣṭamī des deux quinzaines par le jeûne, ne se soutenant que de riz, de blé et des produits de la vache. Par une telle retenue disciplinée, le paśu est purifié du pāśa et devient digne de la grâce de Śiva (Pati).
