Mantra 1

इमं नो यज्ञममृतेषु धेहीमा हव्या जातवेदो जुषस्व । स्तोकानामग्ने मेदसो घृतस्य होतः प्राशान प्रथमो निषद्य ॥

Set this our offering-work among the immortals; accept these oblations, O Jātavedas. O Agni, partake first—seated as the Hotṛ—of the dripping streams of clarified richness and luminous ghee, so the sacrifice may rise in the right order within us.

Mantra 2

घृतवन्तः पावक ते स्तोकाः श्चोतन्ति मेदसः । स्वधर्मन्देववीतये श्रेष्ठं नो धेहि वार्यम् ॥

O Purifier, your drops—laden with clarified light—drip with concentrated essence. O you of your own true law, for the welcoming of the gods establish in us the best desirable plenitude.

Mantra 3

तुभ्यं स्तोका घृतश्चुतोऽग्ने विप्राय सन्त्य । ऋषिः श्रेष्ठः समिध्यसे यज्ञस्य प्राविता भव ॥

For you, O Agni, the ghee-dripping streams are here for the seer’s inspired force. You are kindled as the best ṛṣi; become the forward protector of the sacrifice—guarding its right progression within us.

Mantra 4

तुभ्यं श्चोतन्त्यध्रिगो शचीवः स्तोकासो अग्ने मेदसो घृतस्य । कविशस्तो बृहता भानुनागा हव्या जुषस्व मेधिर ॥

For you, O strong and effective One, the streams of essence and clarified light drip forth. Praised by the seer, come with a vast radiance; accept the oblations, O wise disposer, and make the inner offering fruitful.

Mantra 5

ओजिष्ठं ते मध्यतो मेद उद्भृतं प्र ते वयं ददामहे । श्चोतन्ति ते वसो स्तोका अधि त्वचि प्रति तान्देवशो विहि ॥

We offer to you the strongest essence drawn out from the midst. O Vasu, your streams drip upon your skin; receive them in due divine measure—distribute and arrange the offerings rightly within the being.
