I shall now set out for Ayodhyā, my father’s capital. I seek your permission; I take leave of you all—be well.
"I shall proceed to my father's capital, Ayodhya. You may permit me. Be auspicious. I take leave of you."
Maryādā (propriety) within dharma: even as a victorious leader, Rāma seeks consent and formally takes leave, modeling respectful conduct and truthful intention (satya).
With Laṅkā’s affairs settled, Rāma announces his return to Ayodhyā and courteously asks the assembled allies for leave.
Humility and courtesy—Rāma honors allies through formal permission-seeking rather than command.
