सुन्दरकाण्डे अष्टपञ्चाशः सर्गः — हनुमद्वृत्तान्तकथनम्, सीताभिज्ञान-प्रदानम्, लङ्कादाह-वर्णनम्
तस्य मां विद्धि भृत्यं त्वं हनुमन्तमिहागतम्।भर्त्राहं प्रेषितस्तुभ्यं रामेणाक्लिष्टकर्मणा।।।।
tasya māṃ viddhi bhṛtyaṃ tvaṃ hanumantam ihāgatam | bhartrāhaṃ preṣitas tubhyaṃ rāmeṇākliṣṭakarmaṇā ||
“Know me as his servant—Hanumān—who has come here. Your husband Rāma, tireless in action, has sent me to you.”
'I came here as a servant sent by your tireless husband to find you.
Sevā (service) aligned with truth: dharma is enacted through loyal service to a righteous cause, expressed without self-aggrandizement.
Hanumān formally identifies himself as Rāma’s emissary, clarifying his role and mission to reassure Sītā.
