सुन्दरकाण्डे अष्टपञ्चाशः सर्गः — हनुमद्वृत्तान्तकथनम्, सीताभिज्ञान-प्रदानम्, लङ्कादाह-वर्णनम्
कस्त्वं केन कथं चेह प्राप्तो वानरपुङ्गवः।।।।का च रामेण ते प्रीतिस्तन्मे शंसितुमर्हसि।
kastvaṃ kena kathaṃ ceha prāpto vānarapuṅgavaḥ | kā ca rāmeṇa te prītis tan me śaṃsitum arhasi ||
“Who are you, O best of the Vānaras? For what reason, and by what means, have you come here? And what bond of friendship do you have with Rāma? Tell me that fully.”
"O foremost of vanaras! who are you? Why and how have you come here? How did you make friendship with Rama? Tell me all that in detail.
Discernment in the pursuit of truth: dharma requires careful verification, especially when one is vulnerable to deception.
Sītā, held captive in Laṅkā, cautiously interrogates the unknown messenger to confirm his identity and connection to Rāma.
