सुन्दरकाण्डे अष्टपञ्चाशः सर्गः — हनुमद्वृत्तान्तकथनम्, सीताभिज्ञान-प्रदानम्, लङ्कादाह-वर्णनम्

सम्भाषणार्थं च मया जानक्याश्चिन्तितो विधिः।।।।इक्ष्वाकूणां हि वंशस्तु ततो मम पुरस्कृतः।

Transliteration

sambhāṣaṇārthaṁ ca mayā jānakyāś cintito vidhiḥ | ikṣvākūṇāṁ hi vaṁśas tu tato mama puraskṛtaḥ ||

Translation

I devised a way to begin speaking with Jānakī; therefore I first chose to extol the noble lineage of the Ikṣvākus.
