तां चाहं तादृशीं दृष्ट्वा सीताया दारुणां दशाम्।चिन्तयामास विक्रान्तो न च मे निर्वृतं मनः।।।।

Transliteration

tāṁ cāhaṁ tādṛśīṁ dṛṣṭvā sītāyā dāruṇāṁ daśām | cintayāmāsa vikrānto na ca me nirvṛtaṁ manaḥ ||

Translation

Seeing Sītā in such a dreadful condition, I—though valiant—fell into brooding, and my mind found no peace.
