Shloka 5.58.63

सुन्दरकाण्डे अष्टपञ्चाशः सर्गः — हनुमद्वृत्तान्तकथनम्, सीताभिज्ञान-प्रदानम्, लङ्कादाह-वर्णनम्

ततोऽहं परमोद्विग्नः स्वं रूपं प्रत्यसंहरम्।अहं तु शिंशुपावृक्षे पक्षीव गहने स्थितः।।।।

tato 'haṃ paramodvignaḥ svaṃ rūpaṃ pratyasaṃharam |

ahaṃ tu śiṃśupāvṛkṣe pakṣīva gahane sthitaḥ ||

Then, greatly alarmed, I drew my form back, making myself small, and remained hidden in the dense foliage of the śiṃśupā tree, like a bird in the thicket.

"I was scared and contracted my body size and stood on the Simsupa tree like a bird in the sky.

Practical wisdom (nīti) and restraint—Hanumān adapts instantly to danger without losing focus.
