Shloka 5.58.62

सुन्दरकाण्डे अष्टपञ्चाशः सर्गः — हनुमद्वृत्तान्तकथनम्, सीताभिज्ञान-प्रदानम्, लङ्कादाह-वर्णनम्

ततो हलहलाशब्दं काञ्चीनूपुरमिश्रितम्।शृणोम्यधिकगम्भीरं रावणस्य निवेशने।।।।

tato halahalāśabdaṃ kāñcīnūpuramiśritam |

śṛṇomy adhikagambhīraṃ rāvaṇasya niveśane ||

Then I heard, from within Rāvaṇa’s residence, a deep and weighty clamor, mingled with the jingling of girdles and anklets.

"Then I heard a deep sound mixed with jingling golden girdles and anklets coming from Ravana's residence.

Righteous action requires alertness and responsibility: Hanumān attends to signs of danger so that his mission (in service of dharma) is not compromised.

While observing Sītā, Hanumān hears approaching commotion from Rāvaṇa’s quarters—an indication that someone important is coming.

Hanumān’s situational awareness and discipline—he remains attentive to sound and movement while staying hidden.
