Shloka 5.58.13
सुन्दरकाण्डे अष्टपञ्चाशः सर्गः — हनुमद्वृत्तान्तकथनम्, सीताभिज्ञान-प्रदानम्, लङ्कादाह-वर्णनम्
पक्षवन्तः पुरा पुत्त्र बभूवुः पर्वतोत्तमाः।।।।छन्दतः पृथिवीं चेरुर्बाधमानाः समन्ततः।
dṛṣṭvā sambhāṣitaś cāhaṃ rāvaṇena durātmanā | pṛṣṭaś ca laṅkāgamanaṃ rākṣasānāṃ ca taṃ vadham ||
On seeing me, the wicked-souled Rāvaṇa spoke with me and questioned me about my coming to Laṅkā and about the slaying of those rākṣasas.
'O son! in the past, foremost of the mountains too had wings and they used to range at will all over the earth tormenting all.
Accountability and truth in speech (satya): even before an adversary, the righteous messenger is prepared to explain actions and motives transparently.
Hanumān is brought before Rāvaṇa, who interrogates him regarding his entry into Laṅkā and the deaths of rākṣasas.
