सुन्दरकाण्डे अष्टपञ्चाशः सर्गः — हनुमद्वृत्तान्तकथनम्, सीताभिज्ञान-प्रदानम्, लङ्कादाह-वर्णनम्
तच्छ्रुत्वा राक्षसेन्द्रस्तु मन्त्रिपुत्त्रान्महाबलान्।।।।पदातिबलसम्पन्नान् प्रेषयामास रावणः।
tac chrutvā rākṣasendras tu mantriputrān mahābalān |
padātibalasampannān preṣayāmāsa rāvaṇaḥ |
Hearing this, Rāvaṇa—the lord of rākṣasas—sent forth the ministers’ sons, mighty and well-equipped with infantry strength.
"Ravana, the demon king sent his mighty army of strong foot-soldiers, the sons of ministers.
A ruler’s responsibility is to choose paths aligned with dharma; here, power is used to prolong wrongdoing, illustrating misuse of authority.
After receiving reports of losses, Rāvaṇa responds by deploying additional elite troops—sons of his ministers.
Negative example: lack of विवेक (discernment) in leadership—choosing escalation over correction and truth.
