Shloka 5.56.2

षट्पञ्चाशः सर्गः — वैदेही-आश्वासनम् तथा अरिष्टारोहणम् (Consoling Sita and Ascending Mount Arishta)

ततस्तं प्रस्थितं सीता वीक्षमाणा पुनः पुनः।भर्तृस्नेहान्वितं वाक्यं हनुमन्तमभाषत।।।।

tatas taṃ prasthitaṃ sītā vīkṣamāṇā punaḥ punaḥ |

bhartṛ-snehānvitaṃ vākyaṃ hanumantam abhāṣata ||

Then Sītā, gazing again and again at Hanumān as he stood ready to depart, spoke to him words filled with steadfast love for her husband.

Looking at Hanuman again and again, as he was ready to start on his return journey, thus spoke Sita expressing her love for her husband:

S
Sītā
H
Hanumān
B
bhartṛ (husband—Śrī Rāma, implied)

Marital fidelity and steadfastness (pativratā-dharma) grounded in Satya: Sītā’s words arise from unwavering commitment to Rāma and to truth, even under captivity and fear.

After delivering Rāma’s message and receiving Sītā’s response, Hanumān is preparing to leave Laṅkā; Sītā addresses him with urgency and affection tied to her duty and hope.

Constancy (niṣṭhā): Sītā’s repeated gaze and husband-centered speech show unwavering loyalty, emotional restraint, and focus on righteous relationship.
