षट्पञ्चाशः सर्गः — वैदेही-आश्वासनम् तथा अरिष्टारोहणम् (Consoling Sita and Ascending Mount Arishta)
ततस्तु शिंशुपामूले जानकीं पर्युपस्थिताम्।अभिवाद्याब्रवीद्दिष्ट्या पश्यामि त्वामिहाक्षताम्।।।।
tatas tu śiṁśupāmūle jānakīṁ paryupasthitām | abhivādyābravīd diṣṭyā paśyāmi tvām ihākṣatām ||
Then Hanumān approached Jānakī, who stood at the foot of the śiṁśupā tree; bowing in reverence, he said: “By good fortune, I see you here unharmed.”
Then Hanuman offered salutations to Janaki, stationed at the foot of the simsupa tree, and said, "Luckily I see you unscathed."
Dharma is expressed as compassionate duty: Hanumān returns to confirm Sītā’s safety and speaks truthfully to relieve her fear and uphold Rāma’s mission.
After anxiety about the fire’s consequences, Hanumān comes back to the Aśoka grove area, approaches Sītā under the śiṁśupā tree, salutes her, and assures her she is unharmed.
Care and accountability: Hanumān’s humility (salutation) and reassurance show responsible service and empathy.
