Hear the command of great-souled Sugrīva, as a brother to Rāma: words grounded in dharma and artha, beneficial in this world and the next.

"The great Sugriva who is like your brother sends you a message pertinent to this world and the other world, that which is beneficial and consistent with righteousness and propriety (dharma and artha). Listen:

Sugrīva

Rāma

True counsel aligns moral right (dharma) with practical welfare (artha) and remains beneficial across both worldly life and moral/spiritual consequence.

Hanumān formally begins delivering Sugrīva’s diplomatic message in Rāvaṇa’s court, framing it as ethically and politically sound advice.

Responsible diplomacy—Hanumān presents admonition not as insult but as welfare-oriented counsel rooted in dharma.
