अभिज्ञानमणि-प्रदानम् — The Signet Jewel as Proof and the Consolation of Sita
काममस्य त्वमेवैकः कार्यस्य परिसाधने।पर्याप्तः परवीरघ्न यशस्यस्ते फलोदयः।।।।
kāmam asya tvam evaikaḥ kāryasya parisādhane | paryāptaḥ paravīraghna yaśasyas te phalodayaḥ ||
Truly, O slayer of enemy heroes, you alone are sufficient to bring this task to completion; the fruit of success and renown rightly belongs to you.
"O slayer of enemy heroes! if you alone can accomplish this task the fame of doing this will be yours.
Dharma teaches that extraordinary ability should be used in service of righteous ends; rightful fame is a by-product of duty fulfilled, not the primary motive.
Sītā, weighing the difficulty of the mission, acknowledges Hanumān’s unique capability to complete it successfully.
Hanumān’s strength and efficacy—power disciplined toward a moral purpose (service to Rāma and rescue of Sītā).
