अभिज्ञानमणि-प्रदानम् — The Signet Jewel as Proof and the Consolation of Sita
स हि सागरपर्यन्तां महीं शासितुमीहति।त्वन्निमित्तो हि रामस्य जयो जनकनन्दिनि।।।।
sa hi sāgara-paryantāṃ mahīṃ śāsitum īhati | tvannimitto hi rāmasya jayo janaka-nandini ||
He is fit to rule this earth bounded by the ocean; and for your sake, O joy of Janaka, victory truly belongs to Rāma.
"Rama is fit to rule the entire earth surrounded by the ocean. O delight of Janaka! he will succeed in serving your cause."
Dharma is rightful kingship and moral legitimacy: the one fit to rule is also the one destined to win for the sake of protecting dharma and the innocent.
Hanumān praises Rāma’s worthiness and assures Sītā that Rāma’s victory is certain in the mission to rescue her.
