रामलक्षणवर्णनम् (Description of Rama and Lakshmana; Alliance Narrative to Sita)
ततो निहत्य तरसा रामो वालिनमाहवे।सर्वर्क्षहरिसङ्घानां सुग्रीवमकरोत्पतिम्।।।।
evam uktas tu vaidehyā hanumān mārutātmajaḥ | tato rāmaṁ yathātattvam ākhyātum upacakrame ||
Thus addressed by Vaidehī, Hanumān—the son of the Wind—then began to describe Rāma exactly as he truly is.
"Then Rama quickly killed Vali in a combat and made Sugriva the lord of all troops of vanaras and bears.
Satya (truth) as dharma: Hanuman commits to describing Rama ‘as he is,’ emphasizing truthful witness rather than exaggeration.
A narrative transition: after Sita’s questioning, Hanuman begins a faithful account of Rama.
Hanuman’s integrity and reliability as a messenger—truthful speech used for consolation and clarity.
