रामलक्षणवर्णनम् (Description of Rama and Lakshmana; Alliance Narrative to Sita)
ततस्त्वन्नाशजं शोकं रामस्याक्लिष्टकर्मणः।लक्ष्मणो वानरेन्द्राय सुग्रीवाय न्यवेदयत्।।।।
tatastvannāśajaṃ śokaṃ rāmasyākliṣṭakarmaṇaḥ | lakṣmaṇo vānarendrāya sugrīvāya nyavedayat ||
Then Lakṣmaṇa disclosed to Sugrīva, lord of the Vānaras, the grief that had arisen in Rāma—unwearied in action—because of your loss.
"Then Lakshmana spoke to the lord of vanaras, Sugriva about your loss and the grief caused to Rama, who is adept in accomplishing difficult deeds with ease.
Satya and clarity in duty: Lakṣmaṇa communicates Rāma’s true suffering, aligning the alliance with honest disclosure rather than concealment.
In the Kishkindhā alliance context recalled by Hanumān, Lakṣmaṇa explains to Sugrīva how deeply Rāma grieves for Sītā’s loss.
