Shloka 5.35.10

रामलक्षणवर्णनम् (Description of Rama and Lakshmana; Alliance Narrative to Sita)

रक्षिता जीवलोकस्य स्वजनस्याभिरक्षिता।रक्षिता स्वस्य वृत्तस्य धर्मस्य च परन्तपः।।।।

rakṣitā jīva-lokasya svajanasya ’bhirakṣitā | rakṣitā svasya vṛttasya dharmasya ca parantapaḥ ||

He is the protector of the world of living beings—how much more of his own people. He safeguards his lineage and guards dharma; he is a scorcher of enemies.

"Rama is a protector of the entire world of living beings not to speak of his own people. He is a protector of his own race. He guards righteousness. He is a scorcher of enemies.

The king’s dharma is protection: guarding subjects, one’s community, and—above all—righteous order itself.

Sītā reassures herself and Hanumān by describing Rāma’s nature as a righteous protector and formidable enemy of injustice.

Rāma’s guardianship (rakṣaṇa) and steadfast commitment to dharma.
