Shloka 5.35.11

रामलक्षणवर्णनम् (Description of Rama and Lakshmana; Alliance Narrative to Sita)

रामो भामिनि लोकस्य चातुर्वर्ण्यस्य रक्षिता।मर्यादानां च लोकस्य कर्ता कारयिता च सः।।।।

rāmo bhāmini lokasya cāturvarṇyasya rakṣitā | maryādānāṃ ca lokasya kartā kārayitā ca saḥ ||

O fair lady, Rāma is the protector of the four social orders in the world. He establishes the world’s boundaries of proper conduct and causes them to be observed.

"O beautiful lady! Rama is a protector of the four classes of society (Brahmana, Kshatriya, Vaisya and Sudra) in the world. He follows codes of conduct and makes others follow them.

Dharma is maryādā—right boundaries and norms that sustain society; righteous leadership establishes these norms and ensures they are practiced.

Sītā continues her portrayal of Rāma as an ideal ruler whose governance maintains social stability and ethical order.

Rāma’s role as upholder of maryādā (normative righteousness) and moral governance.
