त्रिजटास्वप्नवर्णनम् (Trijata’s Dream-Omens and the Rakshasis’ Reversal)
लङ्का दृष्टा मया स्वप्ने रावणेनाभिरक्षिता।।5.27.36।।
दग्धा रामस्य दूतेन वानरेण तरस्विना।
laṅkā ceyaṃ purī ramyā savājirathakuñjarāḥ ||5.27.35||
sāgare patitā dṛṣṭā bhagnagopuratoraṇā |
This lovely city of Laṅkā—with its horses, chariots, and elephants—I saw fallen into the sea, its gatehouses and archways shattered.
"In my dream I saw this city of Lanka protected by Ravana burnt down by a powerful vanara, a messenger of Rama.
Unrighteous rule collapses: material splendor cannot protect a city founded on adharma; consequences overtake even fortified power.
Trijaṭā foresees Laṅkā’s ruin in a dream, warning that the present oppression of Sītā will bring downfall.
Truth-speaking foresight—Trijaṭā uses a vision to redirect others toward safer, more ethical conduct.
