हनूमद्बलप्रबोधनम् / Jāmbavān Rekindles Hanūmān’s Power
बहुशो हि मया दृष्टः सागरे स महाबलः।भुजङ्गानुद्धरन्पक्षी महावेगो महायशाः।।।।
viṣaṇṇā harayaḥ sarve hanuman kim upekṣase |
vikramasva mahāvego viṣṇus trīn vikramān iva ||
All the monkeys are downcast, O Hanumān—why do you hold back? O swift one, stride forth like Viṣṇu who measured the three worlds in three steps.
'Garuda is very powerful, swift, and famous. I have seen him snatching serpents from the ocean many times.
Dharma demands timely action: delaying when others suffer and the mission is righteous becomes a lapse in duty.
Seeing the vānara host discouraged at the ocean’s edge, Jāmbavān presses Hanumān to act immediately, invoking Viṣṇu’s Trivikrama as a model.
Kṣipratā (promptness) in service—speed used for righteousness, not impulse.
