I too wish to behold the brothers Rāma and Lakṣmaṇa. Yet I do not desire to sustain my life for long; I shall relinquish this body.” Thus spoke the great rishi, a seer who had realized the truth of reality.
'Knowing that Vaidehi is not eating food(given by Ravana) Indra, the ruler of gods, will offer nectar-like food rare even for gods.
Dharma is truthful clarity about life’s impermanence: the sage aligns speech and action with satya, choosing timely renunciation rather than attachment.
After outlining the larger mission, the sage expresses a final wish to see Rāma and Lakṣmaṇa but declares he will not prolong life and will soon abandon the body.
Vairāgya (detachment) grounded in wisdom: a realized seer meets death without fear, holding to truth.
