सूर्यानुगमनवृत्तान्तः — The Account of Following the Sun
पक्षाभ्यां च मया गुप्तो जटायुर्न प्रदह्यते।प्रमादात्तत्र निर्दग्धः पतन्वायुपथादहम्।।।।
manaś ca me hataṃ bhūyaḥ sannivartyatu saṃśrayam | yatnena mahatā hy asmin punas sandhāya cakṣuṣī ||
yatnena mahatā bhūyo bhāskaraḥ pratilokitaḥ | tulyaḥ pṛthvīpramāṇena bhāskaraḥ pratibhāti nau ||
(A repetition of the preceding description:) With great effort I refocused my eyes and saw the Sun again, which appeared to us as vast as the earth.
'I protected Jatayu with my wings so that he was not burnt. I, however, got burnt miserably and fell down from the aerial region.
As a repeated pāṭha, it reinforces the same dharmic point: steadiness and disciplined effort are needed to restore clear perception.
The manuscript tradition presents the Sun-vision episode in a duplicated/combined form across consecutive verse numbers.
