मैत्रीप्रतिष्ठा (Rama–Sugriva Alliance and Fire-Rite of Friendship)

तमद्य वालिनं पश्य तीक्ष्णैराशीविषोपमैः4.5.29।।शरैर्विनिहतं भूमौ विकीर्णमिव पर्वतम्।

tamadya vālinaṃ paśya tīkṣṇairāśīviṣopamaiḥ | śarairvinihataṃ bhūmau vikīrṇamiva parvatam ||

Behold Vāli today, struck down upon the ground by sharp arrows resembling venomous serpents, lying like a shattered mountain.

'With these sharp, serpent-like arrows Vali will be killed. He will fall down on the ground like a mountain shattered.You will see it now'.
