सुग्रीवस्य शतवलि-प्रेषणम् (Sugriva’s Commission to Satavali for the Northern Search)
उद्भूतपुलिनास्तत्र जातरूपैश्च निम्नगाः।सर्वरत्नमयैश्चित्रैरवगाढा नगोत्तमैः।।।।जातरूपमयैश्चापि हुताशनसमप्रभैः।
udbhūtapulinās tatra jātarūpaiś ca nimnagāḥ | sarvaratnamayaiś citrair avagāḍhā nagottamaiḥ॥ jātarūpamayaiś cāpi hutāśanasamaprabhaiḥ॥
There the rivers have banks that rise up in gold; and the best of mountains, variegated with every kind of gem, plunge down into those waters—golden too, and blazing with a fire-like brilliance.
'There the sandy river banks are rich with all kinds of colourful gems resplendent with the brightness of gold. Gold and gems glowing like fire in the best of mountains have entered these rivers.
Dharma is suggested as a principle of right ‘placement’ and right ‘flow’: even splendor (gold, gems) is shown as integrated into a larger harmony—rivers, banks, and mountains functioning together.
