सुग्रीवस्य शतवलि-प्रेषणम् (Sugriva’s Commission to Satavali for the Northern Search)
तरुणादित्यसङ्काशैर्भान्ति तत्र जलाशयाः।।4.43.42।।महार्हमणिरत्नैश्च काञ्चनप्रभकेसरैः।निलोत्पलवनैश्चित्रै स्स देश स्सर्वतो वृतः।।4.43.43।।निस्तुलाभिश्च मुक्ताभिर्मणिभिश्च महाधनैः।
mahārhamaṇiratnaiś ca kāñcanaprabhakesaraiḥ | nilotpalavanaiś citraiḥ sa deśaḥ sarvato vṛtaḥ॥ nistulābhiś ca muktābhir maṇibhiś ca mahādhanaiḥ॥
That entire region is encircled on every side by wondrous groves of blue lotuses, by precious gems, by filaments gleaming like gold, and by incomparable pearls and richly valuable jewels.
'There are tanks and lakes filled with lotuses shining like the rising Sun with lotus leaves having the colour of precious emeralds. The lotus filaments look like golden threads. The entire place is full of blue lotus groves, exquisite pearls and other gems.
The verse frames prosperity as orderly and encompassing—an ethical reminder that wealth in the Ramayana gains legitimacy when it is the outcome of puṇya and supports harmony rather than greed.
