Whoever returns within a month and reports, “Sītā has been seen,” shall dwell happily in enjoyments, possessing prosperity equal to my own.

'He who returns in a month to announce Sita has been found will spend his life in luxury with as much prosperity as I do have.

Sugrīva

Sītā

Dharma here is faithful service to a righteous mission: timely, truthful reporting (‘Sītā has been seen’) is honored. Sugrīva frames reward as recognition of duty fulfilled with integrity and speed.

Sugrīva is motivating the southern search-party tasked with locating Sītā, setting a time-bound goal (one month) and promising prosperity to the one who succeeds and reports first.

Promptness and reliability in service—acting swiftly and speaking truthfully upon return.
