Shloka 4.38.7

उद्योगप्रवर्तनम् (Mobilization and Counsel on Kingship)

एतेत्युच्चैर्हरिवरान्सुग्रीवस्समुदाहरत्।तस्य तद्वचनं श्रुत्वा हरयश्शीघ्रमाययुः।।4.38.7।।बद्धाञ्जलिपुटास्सर्वे ये स्युः स्त्रीदर्शनक्षमाः।

tam evam uktvā sugrīvo lakṣmaṇaṃ śubha-lakṣaṇam | visarjayāmāsa tadā tārām anyāś ca yoṣitaḥ ||4.38.6||

Having thus spoken to Lakṣmaṇa of auspicious marks, Sugrīva then dismissed Tārā and the other women.

Sugriva called in the monkeys who deserved audience of the female folk of the royal family. They came forward quickly with folded hands welcoming the heroes.

Dharma here is propriety and focus: Sugrīva clears the royal private space and turns from leisure to obligation, prioritizing duty over comfort.

After agreeing to proceed, Sugrīva dismisses Tārā and the other women, preparing to address military and political matters.

Sugrīva’s self-control and seriousness—he shifts promptly from domestic surroundings to public responsibility.
