पम्पा-तीर-वर्णनम् / Rama’s Lament at Pampa and the Approach to Rishyamuka
पतितैः पतमानैश्च पादपस्थैश्च मारुतः।कुसुमैः पश्य सौमित्रे क्रीडन्निव समन्ततः।।।।
patitaiḥ patamānaiś ca pādapasthaiś ca mārutaḥ | kusumaiḥ paśya saumitre krīḍann iva samantataḥ ||
Behold, Saumitri: the wind seems to be playing everywhere with the flowers—some already fallen, some falling, and some still resting upon the trees.
O Saumitri! look, the breeze appears to be playing with the flowers; that are fallen and that are still on the trees.
A dharmic mind cultivates awareness and balance: even amid hardship, one can observe the world without cruelty or agitation, preserving inner steadiness.
As Rama and Lakshmana move through the region, Rama points out the playful movement of wind among flowers, marking the scene’s natural beauty.
