सिद्धाश्रम-यज्ञरक्षणम् — Protection of Viśvāmitra’s Sacrifice at Siddhāśrama
अथ काले गते तस्मिन् षष्ठेऽहनि समागते।सौमित्रिमब्रवीद्रामो यत्तो भव समाहित:।।।।
atha kāle gate tasmin ṣaṣṭhe 'hani samāgate | saumitrim abravīd rāmo yatto bhava samāhitaḥ ||
Then, as that time passed and the sixth day arrived, Rāma said to Saumitri (Lakṣmaṇa), “Be ready; stay focused and alert.”
Time passed. When the sixth day arrived Rama cautioned Lakshmana to be vigilant.
Dharma is sustained mindfulness: righteous duty requires alertness, especially when the mission nears its critical moment.
On the sixth day of guarding the sacrifice, Rāma anticipates danger and instructs Lakṣmaṇa to remain prepared.
Leadership and foresight—Rāma guides his companion to maintain disciplined attention rather than relax prematurely.
