सिद्धाश्रम-यज्ञरक्षणम् — Protection of Viśvāmitra’s Sacrifice at Siddhāśrama

उपासाञ्चक्रतुर्वीरौ यत्तौ परमधन्विनौ।ररक्षतुर्मुनिवरं विश्वामित्रमरिन्दमौ।।।।

upāsāṃ cakratur vīrau yattau paramadhanvinau | rarakṣatur munivaraṃ viśvāmitram arindamau ||

Fully prepared, the two heroic master-archers attended upon the rite and protected the best of sages, Viśvāmitra—those two subduers of enemies.

The two mighty, heroic archers (Rama and Lakshmana), destroyers of enemiesattended upon the sacrifice in order to protect sage Viswamitra.

During the consecrated period, the princes remain stationed near the rite, actively serving and guarding Viśvāmitra.
