अस्त्रप्रदानम् — Bestowal of Divine Astras to Rama
ऊचुश्च मुदितास्सर्वे रामं प्राञ्जलयस्तदा।इमे स्म परमोदाराः किङ्करास्तव राघव।।।।
ūcuś ca muditāḥ sarve rāmaṃ prāñjalayas tadā |
ime sma paramodārāḥ kiṅkarās tava rāghava ||
Then all of them, rejoicing with folded hands, spoke to Rāma: “We, the most exalted, are here as your servants, O Rāghava.”
The munificient presiding deities of the weapons with folded palms addressed these words to Rama saying, "Here we are, at you disposal !".
Authority is legitimate when rooted in dharma: even mighty forces submit to a righteous bearer, indicating that moral stature governs power.
The manifested astras (as personified powers) formally acknowledge Rāma and declare their readiness to serve him.
Rāma’s innate righteousness and sovereignty-by-dharma, before any kingship—power aligns itself to him.
