विश्वामित्रस्य यज्ञरक्षा-याचना (Visvamitra Requests Rama for Yajna-Protection)
शक्तो ह्येष मया गुप्तो दिव्येन स्वेन तेजसा।।।।राक्षसा ये विकर्तारस्तेषामपि विनाशने।
śakto hyeṣa mayā gupto divyena svena tejasā | rākṣasā ye vikartārasteṣāmapi vināśane ||
Guarded by me and by his own divine radiance, he is truly able to destroy even those rākṣasas who fashion obstacles.
Protected by me and by his own divine power, Rama is capable of destroying even those demons causing impediments to the sacrifice.
Dasharatha considered Rama to be a mere child and inexperienced in warfare compared to the deceptive and powerful Rakshasas like Maricha and Subahu.
Vishvamitra asserts that Rama is protected by the sage's spiritual merit ('mayā gupto') and possesses his own innate divine power ('svena tejasā'), ensuring his victory over the obstacle-creating demons.
