विश्वामित्रस्य यज्ञरक्षा-याचना (Visvamitra Requests Rama for Yajna-Protection)
श्रेयश्चास्मै प्रदास्यामि बहुरूपं न संशय:।।।।त्रयाणामपि लोकानां येन ख्यातिं गमिष्यति।
na ca tau rāmam āsādya śaktau sthātuṃ kathaṃcana |
na ca tau rāghavād anyo hantum utsahate pumān ||
Once they encounter Rāma, those two cannot stand their ground in any manner; and apart from Rāghava, no other man has the power to destroy them.
I will confer upon him, without doubt, a lot of blessings for his well-being by which he will attain fame in all the three worlds.
Protection of sacrifice and sages is dharma; the verse asserts that dharma sometimes requires decisive force, and that Rāma is uniquely fit to neutralize adharma embodied by the rākṣasas.
Viśvāmitra persuades Daśaratha by stating that Mārīca and Subāhu cannot withstand Rāma, and only Rāma can destroy them.
Rāma’s exceptional valor aligned with restraint and purpose: strength directed toward safeguarding sacred rites and truth.
