sa coditaḥ sarvayatnena karṇo mumoca bāṇān subahūn abhīkṣṇam
Sañjaya said: Thus urged on, Karṇa, exerting himself with every effort, repeatedly loosed a great multitude of arrows—pressing the attack without pause in the heat of battle.
संजय उवाच
The verse highlights relentless exertion once a warrior is urged into action: in war, resolve and sustained effort amplify violence and its consequences, reminding the listener that incitement and unchecked momentum intensify conflict.
In Sañjaya’s report of the battlefield, Karṇa—having been prompted—strains with full effort and repeatedly showers the enemy with a continuous volley of many arrows.
