Sañjaya said: “In Yudhiṣṭhira’s army I see no warrior other than you who, after confronting Rādheya (Karna), could return home in safety. Such is Karna’s might that meeting him in battle leaves little room for survival—hence my counsel that only the most capable should face him.”

The verse underscores sober discernment in war: one should not underestimate a formidable opponent, and leadership requires honest appraisal of capability and risk. It also reflects the kṣatriya ethic of matching challenge with appropriate strength rather than sacrificing soldiers through pride or miscalculation.
Sañjaya, reporting events and offering assessment, declares that within Yudhiṣṭhira’s forces he sees no one—except the addressed warrior—capable of facing Karna (Rādheya) and still returning safely. The statement highlights Karna’s battlefield dominance at this stage of the war.
