Sañjaya said: “O Bhārata, if Karṇa is neglected, he may destroy the Pāṇḍavas, the Sṛñjayas, and the Pañcālas—just as a disease, once it has come upon the body, destroys it when left untreated.”

Educational Q&A

Neglecting a serious danger allows it to grow destructive; prudent leadership requires timely attention and remedy—just as an untreated disease can ruin the body, an ignored adversary can ruin an army.

Sañjaya warns Dhṛtarāṣṭra that if Karṇa is not properly heeded—whether in counsel, deployment, or countermeasures—he could become devastating on the battlefield, capable of destroying major Pāṇḍava-aligned forces (Pāṇḍavas, Sṛñjayas, Pañcālas).
