अर्जुनस्य शीघ्रप्रयाणं भीम-शकुनियुद्धं च
Arjuna’s Rapid Advance and the Bhīma–Śakuni Encounter
न मया तादृशो राजन दृष्टपूर्व: पराक्रम: । संग्रामे यादृशो द्रौणे: कृष्णौ संछादयिष्यत:,राजन्! समरांगणमें श्रीकृष्ण और अर्जुनको बाणोंद्वारा आच्छादित करनेवाले अश्वत्थामाका जैसा पराक्रम उस दिन देखा गया, वैसा मैंने पहले कभी नहीं देखा था
na mayā tādṛśo rājan dṛṣṭapūrvaḥ parākramaḥ | saṅgrāme yādṛśo drauṇeḥ kṛṣṇau saṃchādayiṣyataḥ ||
Sañjaya said: O King, I have never before witnessed such prowess as that displayed in battle by Aśvatthāmā, the son of Droṇa—when he showered his arrows so as to cover both Kṛṣṇa and Arjuna. The report underscores the terrifying intensity of martial skill on the battlefield, where extraordinary power can momentarily eclipse even the most renowned heroes, yet remains bound to the larger moral reckoning of the war.
