संजय उवाच
When a grave threat arises, righteous leadership relies on the properly placed agent of duty: Yudhiṣṭhira turns to Arjuna, whose disciplined martial responsibility is to defend the just cause. The verse underscores dharma expressed through role-based action (kṣatriya-dharma) rather than hesitation.
Sañjaya narrates that Karṇa is seen positioned at the army’s vanguard. In response, King Yudhiṣṭhira addresses Arjuna—praised as a foe-slayer and unique hero—preparing to issue counsel or command for the impending confrontation.
