कर्णेन युधिष्ठिरानीकविदारणम् / Karṇa’s Breach of Yudhiṣṭhira’s Battle-Line
ततो भूयोअब्रवीद् देवो देवानिन्द्रपुरोगमान्,तब महादेवजीने पुन: इन्द्र आदि देवताओंसे कहा--“शायद ये दैत्योंको न मारें' ऐसा समझकर तुम्हें किसी प्रकार भी शोक नहीं करना चाहिये। तुमलोग असुरोंको इस बाणसे “मरा हुआ' ही समझो”
tato bhūyo ’bravīd devo devān indrapurogāmān | tataḥ mahādevaḥ punar indra-ādi-devatābhyaḥ uvāca—“śāyad etān daityān na mārayeyuḥ” iti matvā yuṣmābhiḥ kathaṃcid api śoko na kartavyaḥ | yūyaṃ asurān etena bāṇena “mṛtān eva” manyadhvam ||
Then the divine Lord spoke again to the gods led by Indra. Mahādeva said once more to Indra and the other deities: “Do not grieve in any way, thinking, ‘Perhaps these Daityas will not be slain.’ You should regard the Asuras as already dead by this arrow.”
पितामह उवाच
Do not succumb to grief or doubt in a dharmic struggle when righteous means and higher assurance are present; steadiness of mind and confidence in just action are themselves part of victory.
Mahādeva addresses Indra and the other gods, urging them not to fear that the Daityas might survive; he instructs them to treat the Asuras as already slain by the power of a particular arrow, reinforcing morale and certainty.
