Renewal of the Karṇa–Arjuna Engagement at Day’s End
दिवाकरकरप्रख्यानड्डश्नचिक्षेप तोमरान् । नकुलाय शतान्यष्टौ त्रिचैकैक॑ तु सो5च्छिनत्,अंगराजने नकुलपर सूर्यकिरणोंके समान तेजस्वी आठ सौ तोमर चलाये; परंतु नकुलने उनमेंसे प्रत्येकके तीन-तीन टुकड़े कर डाले
divākarakaraprakhyān aḍḍaśan cikṣepa tomarān | nakulāya śatāny aṣṭau tricaikaikaṃ tu so 'cchinat ||
Sañjaya said: Karṇa, the Aṅga king, hurled eight hundred spears at Nakula, blazing like the rays of the sun. Yet Nakula cut each spear into three pieces.
