उच्चा पतन्तमरुणं सुपर्णं मध्ये दिवस्तरणिं भ्राजमानम्। पश्याम त्वा सवितारं यमाहुरजस्रं ज्योतिर्यदविन्ददत्त्रिः
uccā́ pátantam aruṇáṃ supárṇaṃ mádhye divás taraṇíṃ bhrā́jamānam | páśyām tvā savitā́raṃ yám āhúr ájasraṃ jyótir yád avíndad dáttriḥ
Aloft, flying, ruddy, fair-winged, in mid-heaven the shining Crosser—may I behold thee, Savitar, whom men call the unceasing Light, which Dattri found.
